In addition to her music career, Lily is an educator, lecturer and member of the academic community.

Lily studied Comparative Literature and Ethnomusicology during her undergraduate years at the University of Michigan. Every spring, she returns as teacher in their New England Literature program.

Her titles include:

• teacher at University of Michigan’s New England Literature Program

• guest lecturer at University of Michigan’s Residential College and Performing Arts Technology Programs on poetry, songwriting, and creativity (2022, 2023)

• private teacher of Songwriting at The New School (2024-2024)

• self-proctored teacher of two four-session weekly songwriting seminars—one online and one in person (2023)
